In this finalist proposal, a suspended artwork relates the structure of conjecture/hypothesis to the intuitive acts of research/experimentation through the ephemeral projection of light and pattern onto a physical support structure. Scrim-panels act as iconic screens for a projected pattern. The un-synchronized cycles of focus and color spectrum of the projected pattern suggest the never-ending process of research and experimentation.
