This finalist proposal amplifies the symbolism of the Tribune Tower's invisible structure. Exposed beams and columns are enclosed within intersecting glass planes with cycling LCD inscriptions drawn from the news, symbolizing the underlying principle of Free Speech upon which democracy stands.

Constructed of tempered, structural glass panels, waterjet-cut aluminum, networked LCD modules.
